Analyzing the Above Copy

Here is why the above copy works for seasonal promos. Please keep this points in mind when adapting the copy.

  1. Headline and Subheadline relate to the special occasion and make a bold claim while insinuating that this is “special” and only for this occasion.
  2. The section “Last Year…” builds up credibility by talking about past customers.
  3. The section “Only For The First Few Days of This New Year We’re Making the Single Best Offer We’ve Ever Made…” captures attention and insinuates scarcity: This Deal will End!
  4. The Bullet Points highlight the bonuses. But we don’t show pictures here. The details of the bonuses will be within the copy.
  5. “Valid till…” emphazized that this is a One Time Offer. This is KEY!
  6. The imagery connects the offer to the special occasion. When selling something on special offer you must give a reason why you’re doing this. Otherwise the buyer doubts your credibility. By using the New Year and the New Year imagery we offer this reason why. (Read about Cialdini’s experiments on human psychology using the because concept here.)
  7. Notice we don’t talk about the product. That will come in the regular copy below this offer. All we’re doing so here is talking about how we have a special offer on this product. This is to get hesistant buyers to buy now. DO NOT try to sell the product in this offer. You’re instead selling that this is the BEST time to buy.
