This is the intro paragraph. Notice the first letter is highlighted. It helps encourage readership. We’re doing this using span class=“first_letter”.
The 5 Types of Offers that Every Site Needs
There are several different product offer pages for each individual product. Each product page has a different offer depending on the season and the type of visitor.
Why do sites need 5 product pages? It’s because at any given time we run with up to five different promotions or offers. Here’s an example. It’s December 20 and Christmas Season.
Here is what various visitors to the site will see as offers:
- Casual visitors on /products will see the default product page.
- Visitors who just signed up might see a One-Time-Offer with free shipping.
- Visitors completing the online course might see a special promo with an extra bonus.
- Visitors on the newsletter (meaning they have completed the online course and are now on the newsletter) might see a special promo for Christmas with a christmas bonus gift.
- Buyers who just bought any of the 4 offers above, should be allowed to upgrade at the checkout. This is called an upsell.
Since the site has visitors in 5 different stages of the relationship process, we would need 5 different offers.
Where these product pages are located
1. The Default Page
The default page is what the first time visitor sees. You’re looking at the default product page right now. It’s always located on /products. This page is open and anyone can access it unlike the other 3 pages which are only revealed AFTER a visitor signs up.
2. The Customized Offer
The customized offer is the page a visitor sees after they fill in a signup form that asks for some extra info such as location or interest. When they finish the signup, they are taken to a customized page with copy that relates to their choices. For example a visitor may be asked “Why are you looking to gain from this product?” and they have to choose from Relieving Stress, Gaining Confidence and Improving Happiness.
Depending on their choice they would be taken to either of the following:
- /products/offer/relieving-stress
- /products/offer/gaining-confidence
- /products/offer/improving-happiness
3. The Special Offer
The special offer is an offer that the user sees for a price discount, free shipping or added bonus. It is used in the following ways:
a. After signing up a new subscriber is shown a One-Time-Offer for free shipping if they order now. The offer expires if they close the page.
b. After completing the free online lessons the subscriber is sent an email inviting them to purchase the product in the next 5 days for a free added bonus.
These product pages will always be located in the following directories:
and of course (for product launches)
Note: These special offers work best when they are timed. So always use a count-down timer on the page, a one-time-offer statement, announce limited quantity or a deadline to buy.
4. The Seasonal Promo
These are announced to our subscribers by email during special occasions. A good promo can easily do an extra $20K in sales in the 5 days it is running. All promo versions of the product page are located in /products/promos/.
We have a specific, proven style guide for running the promo. You can see them on the following pages.
- /products/promo/christmas-special
- /products/promo/new-year-special
- /products/promo/mothers-day-special
- /products/promo/fathers-day-special
- /products/promo/thanksgiving-special
5. The Premium Upsell
After a person commites to buying, it’s very easy to get them to upgrade their order. Think of the McDonalds phrase “Do you want to supersize that?”. 30% of customers tend to say yes. In Internet marketing this is called an upsell.
An example would be offering a free teleseminar recording for an extra $29 after someone buys a $150 home course. This upsell offer would be shown after Step 1 of the checkout process. The upsell offer will always be located in the /products/premium/.
Examples:
- /products/premium/teleseminar
- /products/premium/live-consultation
- /products/premium/seminar-pass
Seasonal Promo Box like this:

“The MindValley guys know what they’re talking about. And I recommend them strongly. I asked them to help me promote one of my products, Attraction Accelerator. Within 7 days they snagged the #1 spot on Google for the keyword ‘Attraction Accelerator’ and then proceeded to sell 300 copies of my product within a week using blog and newsletter marketing. These guys are shining stars—watch out for them.”
